Any exciting new program - save your business money and be green

Our corporation has done a few trips across the province with the business improvement areas in Quesnel (Downtown, South and West).  We have imaginative, exciting conversations about the potential of Quesnel and interesting things we, as community tax payers, community leaders, community members, want to see in Quesnel.  Today one of those ideas that was discussed on a trip is coming to life.  And I have to admit that I'm excited about the potential of this idea.

We are opening an exchange of supply materials for Quesnel and area businesses.  We are hoping to match up businesses that have "waste" with businesses that can make use of the "waste" - making it no longer waste and giving some products a longer life.

Our kick off item comes from a green minded business, The Outlaw, located on Reid Street under Granville's.  They had a large shipment of sandals come in for their summer season and with the sandals came piles of this...

FOAM

The foam pieces are white or blue and could be used for shipping for businesses that are transporting things away from Quesnel or maybe a classroom in Quesnel has an art project or an artist has a project  or some innovative growing medium or...  we have 2 garbage bags full of the foam.
